Miles of Courage, Moments of Respect ANZAC Day Virtual Marathon
This annual event started in 2016 as a remembrance run on Anzac Day, now has grown to support more local Gold Coast RSL veterans with the Anzac Day Virtual Marathon.
The event starts from the 1st April to 25th April.
Your goal is to complete, 42.2km over the 25 days.
Your event, your way - run/walk an average of 1.69km per day in a remembrance of our veterans, past and present.
Wish to challenge yourself, then push your goal distance to double or triple!
“It’s not about the distance, it’s about the meaning”
All proceeds are directly donated to our ‘home’ RSL of Runaway Bay RSL Sub Branch, along with Mudgeeraba Robina RSL Sub Branch and our new beneficiary this year, Burleigh Heads RSL Sub Branch.
Last year over $9k was directly donated to Runaway Bay RSL Sub-Branch, Mudgeeraba Robina RSL & Surfers Paradise RSL Sub-Branches. These funds directly assist the members and are presented in the following weeks after Anzac Day.
You can do this event anywhere
Last year we had participants from all over Australia. They were predominantly from the Gold Coast, and also included Brisbane, Hervey Bay & Bargara and a few interstate including New South Wales, Canberra, Victoria and WA.
Everyone is welcome!
